Working principle
Working Principle of Portable Total Copper Analyzer TP2123
- At high temperatures, various copper compounds in the water sample are oxidized and decomposed by nitric acid into divalent copper ions. Under ammoniacal conditions, the copper ions react with sodium diethyl dithiocarbamate to form a yellow-brown complex. Within a certain concentration range, the absorbance of the system is directly proportional to the concentration of copper ions, enabling the total copper content in the water sample to be determined by spectrophotometric measurement.
- The instrument uses the principle of photometric colorimetry for measurement, based on the Lambert-Beer law: when a beam of monochromatic parallel light passes through a colored solution, part of the light energy is absorbed by the solution. If the thickness of the liquid layer remains constant, the extent of light energy absorption is directly proportional to the concentration of colored substances in the solution. Laboratory water quality analyzer.

- Precautions
- If the instrument shows obvious malfunctions, users should not attempt to open and repair it themselves. Please contact the manufacturer promptly.
- When not in use for testing, the instrument should be stored in a dry environment to prevent moisture from causing measurement instability.
- To ensure accurate and stable measurements, the instrument should undergo periodic calibration to eliminate the effects of electrical drift, optical drift, and temperature drift on the instrument.
