ORP analyzer is Online water quality monitor , ORP analyzer adopts direct determination method of platinum electrode, mainly composed of two parts: measuring electrode and high resistance millivoltmeter (or ion meter). In the process of ORP formation, electrons can flow from the electrode to the redox system, or flow in the opposite direction. The precipitation of charge on the metal surface leads to the formation of potential, which resists further migration of electrons. When the equilibrium state is reached, the electrochemical force (potential) and chemical force balance each other, so that the ORP of the solution will increase or decrease in proportion to its oxidation capacity, and the measured ORP value will show a typical linear relationship.

    ORP electrode, ORP standard reagent (95mv, 256mv)
  • Precautions
    1. The electrode of the ORP analyzer should be installed vertically to prevent water from entering the ORP or ORP electrode, causing a short circuit in the electrode cable.
    2. When the electrode is not in use, it can be fully immersed in a 3.3 mol/L potassium chloride solution. Do not use detergent or other absorbent reagents to soak it.
    3. Before use, check the bulb at the front end of the glass electrode. Under normal circumstances, the electrode should be transparent and free of cracks, and the bulb should be filled with solution without bubbles.
    4. The electrode cannot be used in strong acids, strong alkalis or other corrosive solutions.
