Working principle
Working Principle of Potentiometric Titration Analyzer TP432
- An automatic potentiometric titrator is an ideal instrument for volumetric analysis in chemical laboratories. Potentiometric titration is a method that determines the titration endpoint by measuring changes in potential during the titration process. Potentiometric titration relies on a sudden change in electrode potential to indicate the endpoint of the titration. Before and after reaching the endpoint, the concentration of the analyte ions in the titrant often changes continuously over several orders of magnitude, causing a sudden change in potential. The concentration of the analyte is still calculated based on the amount of titrant consumed. By using different indicator electrodes, potentiometric titration can be applied to acid-base titration, redox titration, complexometric titration, and precipitation titration.
- For laboratory applications: potentiometric titration for volumetric analysis; controlled titration of pH values or electrode potentials; manual potentiometric titration for quantitative analysis; pH measurement—for laboratory sampling and determination of the pH value of aqueous solutions; potential measurement—measurement of electrode potentials or other millivolt values.

After opening the box, please check the model, specifications, and number of accessories of the potentiometric titrator against the packing list.
- Precautions
- If the displayed digits fluctuate erratically, this is typically due to poor power grounding or strong electromagnetic interference in the surrounding environment.
- During pH measurements or titration analysis using a glass electrode, if the displayed digits drift and fail to stabilize, this may indicate electrode aging, necessitating timely replacement.
- If bubbles appear in the liquid pathway during titration, this is generally caused by the red acrylic tube not being securely tightened, the three-way valve head being loose, the burette being blocked, or the three-way valve not being properly positioned.
